About Djurönäset
Djurönäset was ready to welcome its first guests in the autumn of 1979. The goal was to create the best possible conditions for education in the beautiful archipelago environment, so an architectural competition was announced. The winning entry was created by Anders Thalberg at ELLT arkitektkontor, which later became White architects.
The entry was called “Fresh air” and is intended to stimulate creativity, productivity, and well-being, as we function better when we move around and breathe fresh air.
